RENOVATION OF THE ALPES SHOWROOM
New design, new lighting project and an exhibition by a famous photographer.
The Alpes showroom is located in the ancient palace along Via Angarano, distinguished by its façade with Doric columns, and located in the heart of the historic city centre of Bassano del Grappa.
The Alpes showroom occupies all of the floor space within the ancient palace, which stands right beside the wooden bridge designed by Andrea Palladio in 1569.
The showroom has “always” presented the best of the production by this family business, which in over fifty years of activity has won many awards and important acknowledgments including the Compasso d’Oro, for the excellence of its production, recognized internationally for the level of its quality, and for its elegance and design.
All of Alpes’ most important products were the stars of the inauguration: elements that are so beautiful and cutting-edge that they may be qualified as veritable “masterpieces” of the Alpes production. And, not coincidentally, during the inauguration of the renovated showroom layout, Alpes announced the new direction it is undertaking in symbiosis with craftsmanship and art, beginning with two important manufacturers (and two works), deeply rooted in their territory of origin. Starting with Villari and its porcelains, including the giant chandeliers in pure white porcelain, which bring sophistication and originality to the showroom space, making it truly unique. The photographic project entitled “Supernatural” by Fabio Zonta was the other event: botanical portraits with great chromatic and emotional impact, which reproduce the enchantment of peonies, rosebuds, cactuses, banana leaves; large flowers. This exhibition declaredly constitutes the first nucleus of a programme of exhibitions, explains the company: “It introduces a new way of coming together, of exchanging ideas, tastes, opinions, and topping it off with a drink in a beautiful location, which from the very start promises to become a lively point of reference in the city for design, art and craftsmanship, open to customers, professionals and the public in general”.
